We designed the identity and printed materials for an auction held by Kistefos Sculpture Park and Christen Sveaas (owner and art collector) to raise money for new gallery space The Twist, designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG). The event began with a viewing of art at Blomqvist, an auction house in Oslo, and was then followed by the main event, an auction and crayfish dinner held at the Sculpture Park. Our approach sees the visual language evolve from the formality and upscale auction house of Blomqvist, to the more relaxed and atmospheric cray fish dinner and auction event organised by Christie’s. This can be seen in the change of colour, from a formal black and white of the auction house signage to a lighter water blue and lobster red of the dinner’s menus and bibs. Work from famous artist such as Jeppe Hein, Marc Quinn and Marina Abramović where auctioned, and the event was successful in securing the financial investment needed to build The Twist gallery.
