Fønix Brewery

Fønix Bryggeri (Phoenix Brewery) is a microbrewery inside the Fugl Fønix Hotel on Norway's west coast. The hotel is independently run and has 33 rooms, one restaurant and a brewery, serving food and drinks made from locally sourced produce. The design solution conveys a creative brewery with high-quality products. The labelling plays on shapes and colours, reflecting each brew's different flavours and ingredients. It also signals the enthusiasm and joy that goes into making the beer. Production is small-scale, and the beer is sold at the hotel. The labels are printed on self-adhesive stickers and glued at the brewery to save money and time. A system of abstract shapes creates illustrations made in cooperation with Frode Skaren. The design system enables a short and efficient process for expanding the line of products, creating unique compositions for each new flavour. 

The design has been nominated for both the ADC Awards and Visuelt Awards.
